Ap elections-09
I was stunned with the results of Ap elections-09. I never thought that congress will win again. I sat till 3 am in the morning watching the news. But when I understood that congress is going to win I closed the laptop. But I was happy for one thing that JP won the elections. I wish him all the best in the assembly. I know he is going to show kukatpally as one of the best constituency. I think atleast in the next elections people will change there mind voting for loksatha and I dont know in this 5yrs how much more corruption is going to rule the AP government.

JP's win-----start of new era .....
its good to hear that a girl is writing about indian politics and that too AP politics. That Loksatta only won JP's seat epitomizes the fact that Loksatta doesnt have other leaders of the same virtue, it will only have that virtue when more young, dynamic leaders from the educated class come forward and contest. Congress won because of divide in vote share of mahakootami, loksatta and prp. I honestly expected congress to sweep although i hated it completely. I don't understand why CBN made mahakootami when TDP alone could have eaten the entire share of anti incumbency. I only hope that if Loksatta can't grow on its own, TDP should mould and convert itself into Loksatta ideals. Good start Girija, looking forward to more views,,
Hi Srikanth..its good to hear ur view. I also agree with you that congress won because of divide in vote share.Also one more reason why TDP lost is it stood ofr seperate Telangana. These are the guys who stood for united andhra in the earlier elections and now chandra babu naidu has changed his mind because he thought he cannot win the elections. With these elections even telangana people showed that they are not willing for separate telangana. I think loksatta can grow on its own but it takes time for people to accept the party. Also loksatta should stand on its words and JP should mould his party members in such a way that people beleive in politicians words and gain confidence in them. However TDP has lot of pressures and I dont think it can mould and follow the ideas of loksatta.
